Menu

  1. Thanks for posting the price difference between just the entree and the meal option for the cafeteria. I really like to be able to find out what is being offered before going over to the student center, and being able to plan ahead by having the week's menu posted. I would like to request that Hawaiian Haystacks appear on the menu much more frequently though... :)

  2. I'm glad to know you like it. We are changing the look a bit, and updating our calendar. Just click on an item and it details will appear-such as pricing for the meal and entree as well as ingredients in certain items, like the Wraps.

  3. I love the wraps. I'd like to see more lowfat, fresh meals for the summer more often (like the wraps) since it's so hot outside. Also, I wish the yogurt bar from breakfast was available all day! That makes a great summer lunch.

  4. Two thumbs up for the spicy honey chicken wrap that was served last week!

Last year you often included a delicious tuna salad in the sandwich bar. This year I am wishing for some of that! It would be great to have that option once in a while. Thanks!

  5. The last few weeks there were two yummy sandwiches!! The Turkey Foccacia Sandwich and the Avocado Chicken Sandwich were both delicious. I love fresh and healthy menu items like this and hope to see them more often!

  6. How about putting ham pieces back in for the salad bar? Also, the Catalina dressing for the past several weeks has NOT been Catalina!

    1. I will make sure to push the Mac and Cheese into the menu more often. When you say ham do you mean ham steaks?

  9. Hi, whoever was in charge of listing the soup du jour on Feb. 7th listed two soups! bravo! please do that again, we really appreciate being able to view both soup choices online. We're busy so we can't often take the time to walk up to the Valley View and see which soups are offered, so Feb. 7th was a great day! Thanks ! Please list both soups that are offered daily, it'd be a great help!

    1. That would have been Emily. I will make a consious effort to get on the ball on that on and start posting soup options more often. P.S. Today's second option is Seafood Gumbo.

  10. I had the Kahlua Pork Bowl, Steamed Vegetables today, and it was pretty salty. I tried to determine which ingredient was adding the salty flavor, but all I can really tell you is it wasn't the veggies. Don't know if you can do anything about it.

  11. Would you please get some real vegetables? That boiled stuff is horrible. Something fresh and steamed (broccoli) would be healthier and better tasting. And a variety would be nice too. You might try peas or steamed carrots or green beans or steamed cauliflower or steamed broccoli. Please give us a choice rather than those horrible over-boiled mix that you call veges. Thank you!

    1. I am really sorry to hear that you feel that way. We do infact steam all of our vegetables and actually never boil them. We switch between multiple varieties of veggies each week, rarely if ever doing the same mix day to day. Our most common blend is called the Normandy blend; it consists of Broccoli, Cauliflower, and Carrots. I will pass your comment on to our chef however and make sure that he is not OVER steaming the vegetables, hence giving them the appearance of being boiled.

  12. When I looked at the menu for May 17, it indicated that the soup of the day was chicken noodle. Went down to cafeteria and the only offering was chili. Very disappointed.
